Found the issue and working on a fix. As per my #ubuntu-touch discussion
with pitti, it seems that the pkg domains in langpack-o-matic are
handled invalidly. The reason it worked before (for ubuntu-ui-toolkit)
was actually because of the earlier bug with merging tarballs. When we
didn't merge the

On my device, the following command has an empty output:
phablet@ubuntu-phablet:/usr/share$ find . -name ubuntu-ui-toolkit.mo
so it looks like the UITK isn’t installing its translations any longer,
that would be a recent regression.

This is not just the text selection in the browser, the selection
actions in QML TextFields are also untranslated. This suggests the issue
is in the toolkit.
