Laptop: Latitude E7450 load in UEFI mode (try ubuntu) -> Install ubuntu -> Erase all data and install ubuntu, everything was installed without errors, after reboot I see again UEFI boot menu from flash drive (eject flash) - > no bootable devices found... so sad, roll back to Ubuntu 14.04... --

Yes, you need to create an EFI system partition to install in EFI mode. This is done automatically if you choose to format the drive and install only Ubuntu, but if you are doing a side by side install, you need to heed the warning that you should install in bios mode, and if doing a manual

I've found workaround: create EFI System partition at the beginning of the disk. Then the installer manages to do the job. This is mentioned in the manual: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UEFI#Creating_an_EFI_System_Partition ,but as /boot FAT32 partition which is not longer relevant in
