I believe that this bug has been corrected in Ubuntu hardy
openoffice.org 1:2.4.0~rc2-1ubuntu3 so I am marking it as Fix Released.
If after upgrading you continue to have problems with this issue then
feel free to reopen this bug.

I encountered similar problems just now. Looking at a .edu DVD with
.ppt slides with hyperlinks to music examples on the DVD. Slideshow
works fine with OO, but links error out. Happened with Ubuntu 7.04 and
OO 2.2.0-1ubuntu5, and (FYI) also with the latest NeoOffice on a Mac

I tried to reproduce this on Ubuntu 7.10 OpenOffice 2.3.0 and I was
unable to with the simple case of a single slide with a hyperlink on it.
Which version of Ubuntu and OpenOffice are you using? And if it is 7.10
does the problem happen for you with just a single slide with only a
