We have continuing testing this, and this looks like a malfunctioning hardware, as other units work well. Marking this as Invalid. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Invalid ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu Xenial) Status: Confirmed => Invalid -- You received this

Do you happen to know the last kernel version that did not exhibit this issue? To perform a bisect, we need to identify the last good kernel and the first bad one. If you don't know that last good kernel, it might be best to start by testing the upstream 4.4 final kernel:

Hi, I tried to bisect the mainline kernels and found some more tricky steps to reproduce this issue. The issue could be easier to reproduce if we wait for longer (> 20 sec) when the system is trying to get to sleep, and then press the power button to wake it up. The latest test result is:

Taihsiang Ho, the next step is to fully reverse commit bisect from kernel 4.4.19 to 4.8-rc3 in order to identify the last bad commit, followed immediately by the first good one. Once this good commit has been identified, it may be reviewed for backporting. Could you please do this following

(mainline) v4.8-rc3 - could NOT reproduce this issue. (mainline) v4.4.19 - could reproduce this issue. kernel 4.4.0-21 - could reproduce this issue. ** Tags added: kernel-fixed-upstream ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Confirmed -- You received this bug

Did this issue start happening after an update/upgrade? Was there a prior kernel version where you were not having this particular problem? Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v4.8
