Ok, I synced this to zesty. Next we'll see if we can get some of its binary packages demoted to universe. Max Bowsher or anyone affected, if the version of mozc in Ubuntu 16.10 "yakkety" does not work, please file a separate bug for that with specifics about what does not work and how it should work. Most Ubuntu developers do not use mozc themselves. Concerning this update... ibus-mozc seems to have stopped displaying its suggestions window on upgrading to yakkety, which is a rather major fault. I think you misunderstand Ubuntu's universe policy. Packages can build- depend on universe packages as long as no binary package in main ends up depending on a universe package. In some cases, a package in main can be split so that one or more of its binary packages are demoted to universe.
