Installed "snapd-login-service" and it is now working. That seems to be
all that I needed to do for my issue.

I have reinstalled (by Synaptic Package Manager)
- libsnapd-glib1
- snapd
- snapd-login-service
- ubuntu-core-snapd-units
- libdbus-glib-1-2
and now everything works correctly.
