A good place to learn about is the brand forum https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Linux-Discussion/Ideapad-100-15IBY-good-buy-for-Linux/td-p/2219223 The journal log shows some kernel problem module/driver activation: dig around and/or install more recent kernel (https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux) The other issues might be related to kde installation (as i'm not a kde user, i cant elaborate more).
