Public bug reported: Using the Disks utility I was trying to image multiple sd cards at once using 2 of the same USB to SD adapters (transcend TS-RDF5). The 1st one that is plugged in pops up as "CompactFlash Card Reader / TS-RDF5 SD Transcend", but when plugging the 2nd (or even a 3rd) of the same adapter in, they do not show up in the list. I can see udisks seems to know something because in the title bar I see /dev/sdc pop up (title changes from just "CompactFlash Card Reader /dev/sdb" to "CompactFlash Card Reader /dev/sdb /dev/sdc".
I have attached a screenshot of what happens when I have the 2 adapters plugged in at same time. (no sd cards in, but it does same thing with sd cards in both) gnome-disk-utility 3.22.1 UDisks 2.6.2 Fedora 25 (not sure if it's appropriate to report bug here, but it's the only active place I found for gnome-disks bug reports) ** Affects: gnome-disk-utility (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "screenshot" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1651807/+attachment/4794874/+files/Screenshot%20from%202016-12-21%2011-34-44.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1651807 Title: Devices with same name are grouped together as same disk To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-disk-utility/+bug/1651807/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
