Hello Colin,
I can see this issue on zVM(kernel02) with Yakkety (4.8.0-52), maybe we
will need to patch this for lttng-modules on it as well?

Accepted lttng-modules into xenial-proposed. The package will build now
and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lttng-
modules/2.8.0-1ubuntu1~16.04.2 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed
repository.
Please help us by testing this new
Tested Zesty lttng-modules 2.9.0-1ubuntu1 on 4.10.0-15-generic #17 with
ubuntu_lttng_smoke_test from the ubuntu autotest client tests. Passed
OK. Looks good to me.
