This bug is still around in 2020. I've just been hit with it. Not sure how to pull off the log files, because once the message hits, I cannot use any command *at all*. You had this problem when linux version was 4.8.0-52-generic. I can also see that you upgraded it to 4.8.0-54.57, which should fix the issue. Did this issue start happening after an update/upgrade? Was there a prior kernel version where you were not having this particular problem? Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v4.12 kernel[0].
