@David F. Well, my screen is in sRGB (it's a Dell UltraSharp 4k display with 100% sRGB coverage. Also, the Chromium incognito mode has a weird issue related to the color difference, shown in the newly attached screenshot. This also was not an issue until upgrading to the latest Chromium. For some

This behaviour of Chromium-based browsers is in fact standard compliant while Firefox’ isn’t: images without colour profile are supposed to be assumed to be in sRGB colour space which is converted to screen colour space which may end up looking less saturated. This is in fact a "bug" in the web
