Public bug reported: On visiting sites like "www.hattrick.org" and "www.trackking.org", the javascript setInterval that powers the continually-updated clocks on the pages causes the entire system to 'momentarily freeze' each second as the clock display updates.
In Track King, this glitch just causes a shudder in any animations on the screen at the time - Flash, advanced window effects on my desktop, even glxgears. In Hattrick, excessively 'wobbling' my browser window while the clock is on screen will actually cause Firefox to hang. Today's my first day with Ubuntu. 7.10. A few problems enabling a Radeon 9600 on my Athlon 3000+ build of Ubuntu, but got all the other lovely effects happening now....however as these Web Games are a large part of my daily routine, this bug is quite meaningful to me :-( ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- javascript setInterval causes glitches https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/172261 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
