[Bug 1729433]
I was about to file a new one, and then I rediscovered the one that still describes the remaining problem: bug #99112 It was a bit difficult to find, so I will update its metadata a bit to relate to this. I'll leave you to decide whether its importance/priority should be bumped from "low" to "high" to match this closed bug here or not. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1729433 Title: LibreOffice doesn't remember window size when running under Wayland To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/df-libreoffice/+bug/1729433/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Ben didn't provide version details in comment 55. Jeff, thank you for the follow-up, but because this report is about the barely visible, minuscule window issue, and because there's 60+ comments, let's see if your issue is already better described elsewhere, or if it needs a fresh start in a new report, with clear steps. [Bug 1729433] Re: LibreOffice doesn't remember window size when running under Wayland
I'm on ubuntu 21.04, wayland. LO now opens files almost full size, but not quite within the screen size, slightly to the right, so I have to move the window (using the top bar) before I can properly resize it, and I have to do this every single time. This seems to have changed in the most recent LO update. I have now uninstalled LO gtk3 and gnome, which makes things slightly better. I am experiencing this on Kubuntu 20.04. Version: 6.4.6.2 Build ID: 1:6.4.6-0ubuntu0.20.04.1 CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 5.4; UI render: GL; VCL: kf5; Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI-Language: en-US Calc: CL Operating System: Kubuntu 20.04 KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.68.0 Qt Version: 5.12.8 Kernel Version: 5.4.0-52-generic OS Type: 64-bit nVidia GeForce GTX650Ti, driver 450.80.02 I have already used configure window settings - size & position -remember position / remember size and configure application application settings - size & position -remember position / remember size. However it keeps opening smaller than I want it to. Even manually altering the size here has no effect. Also, dragging the window to the desired size is very slow to draw. Opening a document also take several seconds. This did not happen when I was using Mint KDE 17.3. [Bug 1729433]
Dear Jean-François Fortin Tam, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!
