I confirmed that s390x tests now run in VMs, which explains the difference. Yeah I saw that in the logs, but I don't understand why. If s390 tests run in a container why would the device suddenly not exist? Hmm, I see that the -proposed kernels for artful and xenial also have this error. Maybe something changed in the test infrastructure?
