Thank you. I can't get this to build on my Xenial system, but i looked at the conflicts found by Merge-o-Matic (https://merges.ubuntu.com/z/zsh/), and i think the attached patch is all that's needed to resolve them. idk how useful that might be, but maybe it's a starting point for someone at

Thanks for taking your time to report this issue and help making Ubuntu better. No problem, it's a perfectly fine bug report, and you've included the `upgrade-software-version`-tag :) Normally newer package versions are synced automatically from Debian to Ubuntu. This hasn't happened for zsh
