This is not a bug in the package. Unfortunately, the version of smartmontools does not match the version number given in smartctl. smartmontools 6.6 was released in 2017-11-05, after the date given by smartctl 6.6 - https://www.smartmontools.org/browser/tags/RELEASE_6_6/smartmontools/NEWS
