No. That alone can _not_ solve the problem.
When starting the stick or the DVD, the option must be set before _and_
after the double dash:
" forcepae -- forcepae"

sudo sed -i 's/GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX=""/GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="forcepae"/g'

sudo sed -i 's/GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX=""/GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="forcepae"/g'
