I have a similar problem. Thank you all for the answers. unggnu: the s-video TV-out not working problem on Ubuntu 8.04 has been solved in debian: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi- bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=485616 (this is also consistent with supser_hill posts). supser_hill: I get the latest intel GM965 driver source code xf86 -video-intel, but I can't find the right line in the i830_tv.c to change the RGB parameters. Could you please tell me the RGB values and the correct line? Hi, the color problem have been solved of mini-PC, what I did is: - 1. Get the latest intel GM965 driver source code xf86-video-intel from: http://intellinuxgraphics.org/download.html 2. modify RGB parameters in i830_tv.c 3. I have a aopen MP965DR miniPC, I've update the xserver-xorg-video-intel to the latest, then it can show on the TV through s-video, but the color is also seem too bright, indeed I think it not bright, it seems some color have lost(I try to set the depth to 24 in xorg.conf, but still not work). But when I change the driver to vesa, the color problem is solved, but I can't set the size of the output screen. Toby, I'm having the same problem. I try also with Hardy (Ubuntu 8.04_alfa 6_i386 Desktop: kernel 2.6.22-14, X.Org X Server 1.4.0.90, intel_drv 2.2.1 ) and my svideo tvout stops working: no image at all , only a dark TV screen. BTW: I use http://www.high-techproductions.com/ColorBars2.gif to get a pair of pictures (attached): 1. TV and laptop with W. Vista 2.
