Tested with openoffice.org 1:2.4.1-1ubuntu1, the test case does not crash anymore. This appears to be fixed on openoffice.org 1:2.4.1-1ubuntu1. Can you try with the updated version in hardy-proposed and let me know if that fixes your problem?
