For me the bug is gone. I updated to bionic and tested a while. I really tried, but it does not do: I do not get a proposed kernel. I enabled proposed updates, but I cannot enable the proposed archive in the updates tab. The option for proposed simply does not exists. :-( (cross checked on two other Ubuntu systems, none of them has the proposed option in Updates) I tried via apt in terminal but no kernel update, not even without the selective upgrade variant.
