My experience:
1. I installed Ubuntu 18.04 from a daily built a couple of days ago
2. I plugged in an encrypted ext4 usb-stick. It did not work. I tried to
format an usb-stick with encrypted ext4. It did not work.

Suggests: against libblockdev-crypto2; perhaps it should be a
Recommends, or perhaps the gui tools need to be better about
automatically pulling in needed components.
