I'm having the same problem with my
Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4313 802.11bgn Wireless Network
Adapter (rev 01)
Everything was fine, but after reboot, I had no wifi connections
available. The wifi controller was present in lspci output, but not in
ifconfig output. Hitting

The problem occurred after the kernel was automatically updated to version
4.16. This is not the first time when the kernel is updated, and I tried to
reinstall bcmwl-kernel-sourse. It did not help, I tried other recipes on the
net, but they also did not help.
On the previous kernels 4.15 4.13
Did this issue start happening after an update/upgrade? Was there a
prior kernel version where you were not having this particular problem?
Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer
to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest
