Public bug reported: Running Ubuntu 18.04 Server virtual machine with UEFI enabled there appears to be graphical issues (pixels in wrong place).
These issues can be temporarily fixed by changing the gfxmode in grub config. But from time to time Ubuntu boots into a machine that has pixels in wrong place. This problem was originally discovered when installing Ubuntu 18 on a xen hypervisor with Secure Boot enabled. My suspicion is that its a problem with OVMF and Ubuntu. Issues can also be solved by switching to vga=cirrus. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1781987 Title: Ubuntu 18.04 graphical issue with OVMF To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1781987/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
