I suspect Microsoft is blocking me out. It is crashing less since I started 
getting firmware upgrades,
The Kernel may be the problem

Title:
  upgrade from 17.10 to 18.04 crashed at about 80% complete. I have
  never been able to run this computer properly since I wiped windows 10
  to install Ubuntu
