Hi, The log files that are attached indicate that the problem appears after you have run "apt purge python3.6-minimal". Therefore I don't think it is a bug in the python packages, because removing all Python interpreters from your installation is not expected.
You could try to find help for fixing your system using one of the methods listed there: https://community.ubuntu.com/t/community- support/709 Regards, Juhani Numminen ** Changed in: python3-defaults (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1798411 Title: package python3 3.6.5-3ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: installed python3 package pre-removal script subprocess returned error exit status 127 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/python3-defaults/+bug/1798411/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
