Maybe the snapd packagers should not rely on the assumption, that every user is using bash as login shell? More and more programs are only available as snaps, e.g. chromium-browser. Meanwhile I have added "emulate sh -c 'source /etc/profile'" to /etc/zsh/zprofile to work around this issue. But a
