Slightly related to this - I notice libplacebo gained support for glslang[1]. Copying that has the advantage that glslang is already packaged. Unfortunately I think this is blocked on packaging libshaderc in Debian/Ubuntu first. I see a Debian wnpp bug[1] but it has no activity.
