As a workaround it should work to upgrade the package manually from the
command line with something like "sudo apt install vim-lastplace".
The problem here is a call to vim-addon-manager in the maintainer
scripts and vim-addon-manager trusting the getlogin() function. But I
think this only works
Unfortunately the 17.04 repositories don't seem to be available anymore.
So I can't install the older version and upgrade to the new version to
reproduce this issue.
Updating vim-lastplace 3.1.0-1 to vim-lastplace 3.1.1-2 works fine on my
Debian Unstable.
I will have a closer look at this later.
