Thank you for your report. I am not sure I understand what the problem
you are reporting is. The "active (exited)" status is the normal status
cloud-init is in after it finished with its operations. Is there any
reason why you are not using the cloud-init Ubuntu package?
There isn't really enough information here for a developer to confirm
this issue is a bug, or to begin working on it, so I am marking this bug
Incomplete for now. If you can provide a more detailed description of
the problem and the exact steps so that a developer can reproduce it,
then please add them to this bug and change the status back to New.
