Public bug reported: Typing a file name in a thunar window (optionally pressing Ctrl+F first) normally selects the file whose name matches the entered text. After upgrading from Ubuntu 18.04 to 19.04, this feature started randomly breaking after a single character is entered.
To reproduce (sometimes): 1. Open a thunar window to a directory full of files. 2. Before doing anything in that window, Alt+Tab to a different window. 3. Alt+Tab back again. 4. Type the name of a file in the open directory. 5. Notice that, sometimes, the input text box stops accepting input after the first letter of the file name. ** Affects: exo Importance: Medium Status: Fix Released ** Affects: exo (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: thunar (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: disco patch-accepted-upstream regression-release ** Bug watch added: Xfce Bugzilla #15100 https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15100 ** Also affects: thunar via https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15100 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Also affects: exo (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1844771 Title: Thunar interactive search sometimes stops accepting input after one character To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/exo/+bug/1844771/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
