[Bug 1848980] Re: system hangs on suspend
Unfortunately I don't see any attempt to suspend from the log. The system could hang before writing logs to the disk. Oh Yes Chris, you're right!. Happens that there was no other option to choose that seemed to be more accurate than ubuntu-release-upgrader at the time of filing the bug, I am sorry. I have already run *apport-collect 1848980* and let the system collect the requested data. If is there anything else I should do to help, please let me know. Thank you for Ubuntu! [Bug 1848980] Re: system hangs on suspend
Thank you for your response, and effort to make Ubuntu even better. InstallationDate: Installed on 2019-10-16 (4 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS "Bionic Beaver" - Release amd64 You installed 18.04.3 yes, and it is supported till April 2023. The ubuntu-release-upgrader package upgrades your 18.04 to 18.10[/19.04] or 20.04 LTS (when released in the future), which I saw no evidence of being run/attempted. I marked the issue against package `ubuntu-release-upgrader` invalid, and switched (package) to a 'linux' (kernel) issue. As you filed against `ubuntu-release-upgrader` initially, information was only gathered on your attempts to release-upgrade, and not your linux kernel, which is why the request (from bot & me) to run `apport-collect 1848980` (no quotes and only once please) to gather information about your hardware related to kernel more useful for your actual problem. [Bug 1848980] Re: system hangs on suspend
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It looks like you've only recently installed 18.04.3, and are still running 18.04.3 thus haven't used ubuntu-release-upgrader to move to a later supported release; thus I'm marking this invalid (I've linked your issue to 'linux' for now or kernel related). Because of the wrongly tagged package; you'll likely need to run `apport-collect 1848980` I suspect to gain detailed information, as the information filed was not kernel related, but details about your 18.04.3 to (??) due to package selected. You can run `apport-collect 1848980` now (please do it only once), or I 'bot' will likely ask for it anyway. ** Changed in: ubuntu-release-upgrader (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1848980 Title: system hangs on suspend To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1848980/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
