When using the Pantheon or Cupertino desktop layout in 19.10 MATE, it is
not possible to remove the Plank icon from within the Plank dock.
Even when you right-click on the icon and un-check the "Keep in dock"
option, the icon still remains and implies that Plank is open, which in
theory it is, but this is not needed within this dock.
You can move the icon, but you cannot remove.
