I have encountered a similar issue on downgrade of snap package and workaround
does work.
Previously had chromium 94 installed. Due to issues with top-bar rendering
downgraded chromium to version 93. Got issues with any attempt to
upload/download file. Running:
rm
This is likely a different issue, please file a new bug report (be sure
to detail what you're trying to do, and how it doesn't work as
expected).

I've a related problem with the file picker. When trying to upload a
file, I'm unable to search for the file inside the sub directories.
