I see you have filed this bug for both Raspbian and Ubuntu. As the
maintainer of Raspbian I don't intend to deal with this locally in
Raspbian.
IMO the correct way to deal with this would be in Debian, then both
Raspbian and Ubuntu would automatically pick it up in their next
releases.
