I've looked at this bug and I found a fix (I believe). I think the main problem comes from the fact that keytouchd should be launched using keytouchd-launch script. keytouchd-launch script launches keytouchd and (should) kill it at the end of the session. Currently, keytouchd-launch is launched

I confirm this problem. I am using kubuntu hardy . during the logout blocked I can see the .xsession-errors file grow a lot. The error that I can see, repeated many time in one second is: .. PID TTY STAT TIME COMMAND 6521 ?S 0:00
