Public bug reported: For some reason, xsane does not save the resolution setting between sessions. By default it goes back to 100. All other settings in the same panel are saved correctly.
Moreover, it shows two options regarding resolution: vertical and horizontal resolution, with values that do not always match. Ideally, just one box should work for both. user@laptop-TM1703:~$ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 20.04 LTS Release: 20.04 user@laptop-TM1703:~$ apt-cache policy xsane xsane: Instal·lat: 0.999-8ubuntu2 Candidat: 0.999-8ubuntu2 Taula de versió: *** 0.999-8ubuntu2 500 500 http://es.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu focal/universe amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status user@laptop-TM1703:~$ ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 20.04 Package: xsane 0.999-8ubuntu2 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 5.4.0-26.30-generic 5.4.30 Uname: Linux 5.4.0-26-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.20.11-0ubuntu27 Architecture: amd64 CasperMD5CheckResult: skip CurrentDesktop: ubuntu:GNOME Date: Sat Apr 25 01:24:54 2020 InstallationDate: Installed on 2020-04-24 (0 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 20.04 LTS "Focal Fossa" - Release amd64 (20200423) ProcEnviron: TERM=xterm-256color PATH=(custom, no user) XDG_RUNTIME_DIR=<set> LANG=ca_ES.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: xsane UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: xsane (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug focal xsane ** Tags added: scanner xsane ** Tags removed: scanner -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1874935 Title: Xsane does not save resolution setting between sessions To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xsane/+bug/1874935/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
