So somehow your system does have an i2c-DELL0767 touchpad, and it failed to successfully enable it. Could you please have another try with following boot parameters and upload dmesg log for further inspection? dyndbg='file drivers/input/* +pt; file drivers/hid/* +pt' hid.debug=1 i2c-hid.debug=1 log_buf_len=32M Yes, without that "psmouse.synaptics_intertouch=1". -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1875698 Title: Touchpad doesnt responds at all To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1875698/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1875698] Re: Touchpad doesnt responds at all
Hello, Appending above "psmouse.synaptics_intertouch=1 hid.debug=1 i2c-hid.debug=1 log_buf_len=32M" worked on the first restart quite properly, there showed a touchpad driver on xinput list cmd, but some issues continued at that point- 1) pointer moved automatically for a while 2) Suddenly stopped working for a while. 3) Suddenly pointer disappered. And now again, on reboot the touchpad isn't working at all, same issue is there even on appending the line, again. Also, no touchpad driver is shown Attaching the dmesg.log PFA. ** Attachment added: "dmesg.log" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1875698/+attachment/5365058/+files/dmesg.log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1875698 Title: Touchpad doesnt responds at all To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1875698/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
