[Bug 1876951] Re: Ubuntu 20.04 - freeze on latest kernel
with temperature increase the latest kernel seems to be not usable (cpu temperature goes too high and system shutdown do tu hw protection). Luckly the latest 20.04 kernel (5.4.0.39) seems to not be affected by this proble anymore, so I switched again on the official packetized kernel ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1876951 Title: Ubuntu 20.04 - freeze on latest kernel To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1876951/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1876951] Re: Ubuntu 20.04 - freeze on latest kernel
ok, I'll try as soon as I can. Tried today te latest 5.0.31, same problem I tried 5.0.31 low latency too, I could use with no issue for some minutes, but I cannot use it as it seems to overheat my CPU (about 20° overn the temperature I have now with 5.0.26) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1876951 Title: Ubuntu 20.04 - freeze on latest kernel To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1876951/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode. To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1876951/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package.
