I suspect this bug is not a gedit bug, but a font bug, however I'm not
sure.

Steps to reproduce:

1) Ensure font is the default "Use the system fixed width font (Ubuntu
Mono 13)" is checked.

2) Create two tabs, in one tab write:

2
3
4

In the other tab, write:

<blank>
<blank>
<blank>
4

Switch between the tabs and observer that line 4 is in a different
location in each tab.

Using a different font "Monospace Regular 12" makes the problem go away,
hence I suspect the problem is the font.
