I confirm, the new version of g-v-m package fixes the bug completely.

Looks like g-v-m functionality is gradually absorbed into nautilus. I'll
disable automounting and autobrowsing by default for the time being.

This bug was fixed in the package gnome-volume-manager - 2.22.1-1ubuntu1
---
gnome-volume-manager (2.22.1-1ubuntu1) hardy; urgency=low
* Merge with Debian unstable. Remaining Ubuntu changes:
- debian/patches/01_set_defaults.patch: Ubuntu preferences for programs:
+ Audio
Indeed there is now a fight between nautilus/gvfs and gnome-volume-
manager, which both mount and open new volumes. One should be silenced.
Sebastien, what should we use for automounting now? g-v-m or gvfs?

I personally think we should leave automounting to gnome-volume-manager,
since it also applies the user's configured mount options and is able to
mount encrypted drives.

Mounting encrypted drives is a must because I'll soon require it.
But I recently noticed nautilus gained its own mount options. Go to
System Preferences File Manager Media (last tab).
The gnome-volume-manager preferences dialog is far better. The nautilus
(gvfs?) one should be deactivated and
I can as well add that killing gnome-volume-manager results in only one
window opening, as it should be. But surely in this case no automatic
playback of DVDs, for example, will be available.
