As others have reported, using the version (5.14 by now) here fixes this problem (on Ubuntu 20.04). https://calibre-ebook.com/download_linux However, Leo Herzog wrote that he purged Calibre. Honestly, guys, I am not sure what's the correct solution here, but `apt get install calibre` getting me a buggy version, while there's a fix released half a year ago, is not ok! Just wanted to confirm that I had this bug with 4.99.4 on Ubuntu 20.04 as well. It is "fix released" for calibre upstream, not Ubuntu. Which is an incorrect status, upstream doesn't support your qt version and there is no fix.
