Hello and thanks for filing this bug report. Looks like that mysql
failed to start because its TCP port was already in use:

another mysqld server running on port: 3306 ?
This may happen for example when you start the daemon manually, without
using the systemd units provided by the package, which is done e.g. by
calling `systemctl `.
As this doesn't look like a bug in Ubuntu I'm marking this report as
Incomplete for the moment. If you think this is actually a bug please
comment back, possibly providing a minimal set of steps to reproduce it
from a fresh Ubuntu install, and change the bug report status back to
New. Otherwise, if you agree this is not actually a bug, please change
it to Invalid.
