the issue is probably due to
b'org.gnome.nautilus.preferences' b'use-experimental-views' b'true'
could you try to reset that key to the default value (false) and see if
that makes a difference?

I added a guest user to make a test and could select multiple files in
the "icon view". The problem is only with my user. I don't know how to
solve this. Thanks!
