[Bug 1894325] Re: Fence Agents should be upgraded to v4.6.0 in Groovy

2020-09-04 Thread Rafael David Tinoco
Alright, got this reviewed by @ahasenack and looks like gawk change
isn't needed anymore (skipped me).

This way, this is a sync and I just need to wait bileto to finish to
check if the sync will cause any autopkgtest regressions or not only.

** Summary changed:

- Fence Agents should be upgraded to v4.6.0 in Groovy
+ [FFe] Fence Agents should be upgraded to v4.6.0 in Groovy

** Description changed:

Unfortunately upstream release did not align well with our freeze date
for fence-agents. This package is a dependency ONLY for pacemaker:

  $ apt-cache rdepends fence-agents
  fence-agents
  Reverse Depends:
- pacemaker
+   pacemaker

and, despite the version bump, and a core code that is very mature, and
does not change much, the development of fence-agents is mostly directed
to development and fixes of old and existing fencing agents.

With that said, the delta is not big:

  $ git log v4.5.2..v4.6.0 --no-merges --oneline | wc -l
  47

and 1/3 of them are fixes.

In regards to the other 2/3 of the delta, they enable two important
fence agents we have to support sooner than later.

  - fence_aws agent being backported to Bionic (LP: #1894323)
  - X (LP: #1889070)

  Most commits are towarding:

  fence_aws
  fence_azure_arm
  fence_ibmz
  fence_ipmilan
  fence_lpar
  fence_mpath
  fence_openstack
  fence_redfish/fence_vmware_soap
  fence_scsi
  fence_skalar
  fence_vbox
  fence_virsh
  fence_vmware_cloud
  fence_vmware_rest
  fence_vmware_soap

  And fence_aws, fence_azure_arm, fence_mpath and fence_scsi are important
to our HA supportability plans, described at:

  https://discourse.ubuntu.com/t/ubuntu-ha-pacemaker-fence-agents-
  supportability/
+
+ ---
+
+ NOTE: This package will also become a SYNC after this FFe (the delta has
+ been fixed in latest Debian version).

+
+ https://launchpad.net/~ci-train-ppa-
+ service/+archive/ubuntu/4245/+packages

+ has built correctly (bileto is on going).. only difference from that
+ merge and the sync is to abandon a change from gawk back to awk (which
+ will also work).
