Step: ----------- 1) deploy groovy-server-cloudimg-amd64.ova in ESXi (not power-on after deploy) After deploying, the default hardware version is 10 2) upgrade VM Hardware version to 17 3) poweron VM 4) It hangs during VM booting Resolution: ------------ We need to add serial port in the VM when VM hardware version is larger than 10 VMware have KB for the issue: https://kb.vmware.com/kb/52683 It will be better if we have serial port in cloud image groovy-server-cloudimg-amd64.ova by default.
