Public bug reported: Cinnamon 4.8.6 Mint 20 and 20.1 Motherboard integrated Intel graphics, generic X display driver 64 bit
**Issue** In the OS installation process, the "tz" time zone list of places is corrupt, outdated, and contains non-Canonical place names which were deprecated long ago. An example is the deprecated listing for "America/Montreal". This problem affects the installed software and messes up the time zone and the time setting. Also, the "tz" list is not searchable by typing the first character, a poor design for a list that has nearly over 300 entries. ** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1915365 Title: Linux Mint Cinamon installation "tz" data is corrupt To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1915365/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
