I upgraded 16.04 -> 18.04 -> 20.04. 20.04 operates fine. No. It seems ext4 is from the previous attempt. SSD does not have my information. There were several attempt with several physical disk. One SSD was new just from a shop. The same way with 16.04 is OK. The simplest option: erase and install. One SSD. The beginning of the kernel log shows an existing ext4 filesystem with errors, are you trying to reuse this filesystem instead of reformatting it prior to install? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1917167 Title: Can't install 18.04, 20.04, 21.10 on the desktop. 16.04 installation is OK.
