Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report. I set up a Focal LXD container and installed libsss-nss-idmap0 without problems in it. I see you tried to install version 2.2.3-3ubuntu0.2, and now in focal-updates we have 2.2.3-3ubuntu0.4, please try to install this newer version and check if your problem is fixed.
