Yes it is strange indeed- as noted in comment #5 I can no longer reproduce the
issue.
Have tested all 3 flavors listed above the past 3 days (05-06-07) with no bug.

The syslog file shows eno1 getting an IP address and connecting to
is.archive.ubuntu.com so I'm not sure why ubiquity didn't think you were
connected.

Tested Impish dailies Kubuntu,Xubuntu and Ubuntu 05-09-2021 on boxes
Dell Optiplex 7040 and Dell Optiplex 7040 and was unable to reproduce
