I've been getting this error too. I did a Kubuntu 20.01 ISO reinstall

When opening KDE Discover on Kubuntu 20.04 I get the same error.
"Failed to update metadata for lvfs: checksum failure: failed to verify
data, expected 98261db7124c8026fb88f77768787efc2f8355c3"
Running "fwupdmgr refresh" completes successfully without error but
doesn't solve the issue.
